MonokoteTM"

sheeting construction. (Courtesy of Barry Dalwin)
FliteskinTM is a fiberglass sheet with a built
in smooth finish. It has become the standard for airplane covering whenever a
realistic, scale finishing is needed.
It combines sheeting, glassing and finishing in 1
product, saving countless weeks of sanding and priming work.
It is the closest
representation of the real sheet metal finish of the full size aircraft without
the extra weight.
See the Applications section for details.
Features:
Flexible to go around curves (12mm radius for the .010"/.254mm sheet)
The .007 sheets
are most preferable for tail, control surfaces, lining, etc. For skinning
wings of about 80" (180cm.) span .010 works very well.
Very sharp leading edges, wing tips with compound curves should be glassed the
traditional way after the top and bottom of the wing have been skinned (see
applications page). If a metallic leading edge is desired, Aluminum tapecan be used to achieve scale looking results.
